If you are a bulk buyer of e-juice, then following these simple vape liquid storage techniques below are especially important.  Some people prefer to buy in bulk because it's cheaper and that way they never run out of the supplies they need. If you just can't adhere to the advice below, then we suggest only buying in small quantities at a time or sticking with disposable e-cigs.

The first piece of information you should know about e-juice is that most blends are very sensitive to light and heat.  Therefore, should you stash bottles of e-juice on the dashboard of your car in 90 degree weather?  Probs not…  E-liquid should be kept in a dry and cool place such as a medicine cabinet, basement or some people prefer a refrigerator or freezer.

A quick word of caution about refrigerator or freezer storage: Some vapers claim that doing so changes the taste and consistency of the e-juice. If you do choose to go this route, we advise letting the liquid return to room temperature before attempting to vape with it.

If your e-juice is shipped to your doorstep in plastic bottles, this will work for the short term.  However, if you plan on storing them for a while, you should consider transferring the e-juice to a dark amber-colored glass bottle. One, this helps shield the liquid from receiving too much light inside the bottle; and two, the glass bottle will help slow down the oxidation process and prevent bacteria and mold growth.

How long does e-liquid last? Believe it or not, there is a shelf life of on e-juice – approximately two years (though this varies by blend and manufacturer).  Therefore, be sure to plan accordingly when you order in bulk.  After a couple of years, e-liquid will certainly lose the flavor and quality that it is intended to have. This means the vaping enjoyment and throat hit will suffer after the e-juice shelf life is exceeded. Be sure to keep vape juice shelf life in mind when stocking up on your favorite flavors.

If you have children or pets at home, it's extremely important to make sure you store your vaping supplies out of arm's (or paw's) reach. Here are a few best practices for storing e-liquid safely:

• Use childproof bottles when storing vape juice
• Store e-liquid in a high cabinet, out of the reach of kids and pets
• Place a lock on the cabinet door
• Never leave your e-liquid lying around
